Stone Ground Country Ham Grits

Sometimes, you need to take a load off and enjoy a bowl of grits to end your day. If you’re looking for a new take on this classic southern comfort food, we can’t recommend our Stone Ground Country Ham Grits enough. This dish is the perfect combination of your traditional grits along with the unbeatable quality of our country ham, and it’ll replace your old favorite recipe after you try it just once.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Stone Ground Grits
  • 1 Cup Chicken Stock
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 6 oz pack of Hobe’s Country Ham
  • Butter
  • Salt & Pepper

Directions

Combine chicken stock, water and milk in saucepan. Bring to a boil over heat. Add grits and whisk until mixed (30 sec). Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Pan fry Hobe’s Country Ham on medium heat 60 seconds on each side. Dice country ham and add to grits to taste. Salt, pepper and butter to taste.
