Red Eye Gravy

The best part of frying country ham could be making traditional red-eye gravy!

Prep Time 1 min. | Cook Time 6 min. | Total Time 7 min.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Ham Drippings
  • Coffee

DIRECTIONS:

  • After frying ham, pour your drippings into a warm gravy bowl (do not scrape) and return skillet to hot burner.
  • Heat skillet until remaining drippings begin to smoke.
  • Slowly add brewed coffee (about 1 cup) and simmer for about one minute.
  • Pour in gravy bowl with drippings and serve over ham and biscuits.
